For the next entry in my series, In Her Space, I captured the incredibly talented boudoir photographer, Jessica Rae from Maple Ridge, BC. My goal with this project is to capture empowering female photographers in their studios, highlighting each woman's unique style and personality. Jessica has been inspiring me with her incredible imagery for years, and it was so fun to finally meet her in person and create some magic together in her gorgeous boudoir studio.
Most of my maternity photographs are epic outdoor scenes or cozy intimate sessions. When deciding what would work best for Nicole, we ended up with a little bit of a hybrid. I am IN LOVE with the studio maternity pictures, moved by the views of Kelowna, and stunned by beauty of mixing pregnancy and nature. Maternity photography has always been a passion of mine, and photoshoots like this keep me inspired.
It was incredible to experience the stunning views of the Okanagan from the rooms and balconies of this multi-million dollar home in Peachland, BC. From bathtub boudoir to unique window light, these intimate images make me want to move in!
After marijuana legalization last summer, I was excited by the possibility of pot-infused Kelowna boudoir photography. When Jody of GypsyJay Henna contacted me about getting together for a weed-themed boudoir shoot with Selena, I knew we were going to make magic. The beauty of buds, babes, and brilliant white henna made for one rad intimate session!
Plants, tattoos, and a unique spirit are bound to make some boudoir magic! Addox was a dream come true, effortlessly embracing the indoor jungle we set up in my Kelowna boudoir studio. The balance of black and white body art with vibrant vegetation created the perfect harmony. This shoot was perfectly timed, as Addox has now left for Edmonton. I hope we can work in the Okanagan together in the future!
Last month, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting and working with Cierra Carlyle of Pillow Talk Studios for the first entry in my series, In Her Space. I will be capturing empowering female photographers in their studio spaces, highlighting each woman's unique style and personality. It was a snowy drive to Cierra's Vernon photography studio, but was warmly welcomed by this gentle soul and her lovely space. I hope you enjoy this collaboration of two Okanagan photographers making some stunning boudoir images together!
It may be chilly outside here in Kelowna, but it's warm in the studio! A couple weeks ago I had S + T come in for a cozy couples session, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Moody romantic light, plants, and neutral palettes truly showcase their love. I can't wait for their wedding next year in Sorrento, BC!
If you were on the fence about an outdoor winter engagement session, it might be time to consider an intimate couples shoot here or in your own home for that personal touch.
There were so many absolutely amazing wedding moments this season, it was hard to narrow down to a highlights reel! Being a Kelowna wedding photographer is so rewarding, reliving these memories makes me tear up. I'm already looking forward to my 2019 wedding season and can't wait to start meeting my 2020 brides. The images below are primarily Okanagan weddings, with a touch of Alberta and Ontario!

Earlier this month, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing S+R's boudoir session in my Kelowna home studio. My friend and videographer Clayton Arnall was simultaneously filming a behind-the-scenes live shoot for Do More forum members, which you can sign up to view here. It was a little nerve-racking for everyone at first, but we ended up creating some of my best boudoir photography of 2018!
